Privacy Policy

AtmaJyoti is part of Vedhian, and we take the privacy of your account and your birth data seriously. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account on AtmaJyoti, we collect your email address and, optionally, a display name. As you use the service, we store the birth-chart data you enter — for example a person's name, date of birth, time of birth and place of birth (with the resolved latitude, longitude and time zone), gender and any notes you add. For kundli matching you may enter these details for more than one person. We also keep basic account settings such as your preferred ayanamsa, chart style and language.

When you make a payment, the payment itself is processed by our payment provider (Razorpay or PayPal). We do not see, receive or store your card number, CVV or banking credentials; we only retain a record of the order and its status so we can give you access to the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide the service: to generate and display charts from the birth data you enter, to maintain your account and saved charts, to process your subscription, and to communicate with you about your account (for example verification, password resets, renewal reminders and replies to messages you send us). We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information or birth data to anyone.

3. Confidentiality of Birth Data

We treat the birth details, charts and notes you enter as private and personal. They are associated with your account and used only to produce the charts and analysis you request.

Although your birth-chart data is stored so your saved charts are there when you return, it stays private to you. It is not shown to other users, and it is not visible to our administrators through the application. The admin tools show only the account and billing information needed to run the service and provide support — your email, display name, plan and any billing contact details — and never the names, dates, times, places, charts or notes you enter. We do not browse or read your charts, and we do not disclose your birth data to any third party — except where you yourself ask us for help with a specific chart, or where disclosure is strictly required by law.

4. Service Providers We Rely On

We use a small number of third parties strictly to run AtmaJyoti:

• Payment gateways — Razorpay and PayPal — to process subscription payments securely. Payment data is handled entirely by these providers under their own terms and security standards.
• Email delivery (SMTP) to send account-related email such as verification links, password resets and notifications to the address you provide.

These providers receive only the information necessary to perform their function (for example, your email address for sending a verification message). We do not engage advertising networks or third-party tracking analytics.

5. Cookies

AtmaJyoti uses only functional cookies that are necessary for the site to work — principally a session cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

6. Server Logs & Analytics

To keep the service secure and to understand overall usage, we keep basic first-party visit logs — including the IP address, an approximate country derived from it, the page visited and the time of the visit. This is first-party logging only: we do not use third-party tracking or advertising analytics. These logs are visible only to our administrators, and are used in aggregate to monitor traffic, troubleshoot problems and protect the service against abuse.

7. Data Retention

We keep your account information and the charts you save for as long as your account is active, so the data is there when you return. You can delete individual saved charts at any time from within the app. If you would like your account and associated data deleted, contact us at jyotish@vedhian.com and we will remove it, subject to any records we are required to retain for legal or accounting purposes.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate data, or ask us to delete your data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at jyotish@vedhian.com. We will respond within a reasonable period.

9. Children

AtmaJyoti is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly create accounts for, or collect personal information from, children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date shown on this page. Continued use of AtmaJyoti after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
